Completed in 1981, under the design of renowned Guadalajara architect Juan Munguia, Casa Arabia sits atop a granite ridge overlooking the fanciful resort of Las Hadas, named for mythical fairies that are said to dance in the Bay of Manzanillo by the light of a full moon. With hand-carved wooden doors, brick domed ceilings, arched arcades, and flowered balconies, Casa Arabia casts its own powerful spell upon all who enter. Casa Arabia combines the rustic ambiance of a rural Mexican villa with the commanding presence of a Moorish citadel.
